Basic Balance

This session is the most important session to every skater in order to learn to not only stand but skate altogether. In Basic Balance we share tips and drills to use that will improve not only beginning balance but overall standing, moving, stopping, pivots, and dance/step routines. We as Instructors don't necessarily teach skaters how to skate but we share tips and drills that will build their confidence. With better confidence a skater is more likely to move past each step into trying something new and different. Having better balance has done this for many.

Pivots Session

Pivots is learning to transition from one direction to another. We teach being able to pivot towards the left and towards the right. Although one side will be much stronger and most used, we teach both direction so the skater will not be limited.

Intro To Dance/Step

Intro to Dance/Step Coreography begins to put all of the movements used to show balance along with basic movements together to create a dance/step routine. Many of these routines are or can be used in National Skating Events or Skate Parties attending.

Skating Forward

After learning balance and being able to stand more securely and with confidence, we are able to begin to start moving forward with more confidence.

Skating Backwards

There are a few different ways to skate backwards. We start learning from the most basic backwards movement to get the skater familiar with feet motion. Then we move into 3 different styles and combinations.

Stop Session

Stop Session teaches the skater 3 different styles of being able to stop moving forward. This is most important to learn to avoid collision with someone or something.

Toe Work

Toe Work teaches how to do many of the same step and movements balanced on the 2-front wheels on each skate. Each person learns even better balance and a more smooth transition on skates.
